2024: ICF SIGNED MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH PEACE MICROFINANCE BANK

Meet Our Executive Director
Maryam Augie-Abdulmumin

Mrs Maryam Augie Abdulmumin is the Founder of ICF which primarily focuses on advocacy and outreach programmes for child education especially in the most remote regions

ICF commenced the year with a significant milestone, heralding the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Peace Microfinance Bank.

This collaborative agreement marks a pivotal step towards jointly overseeing the implementation of the TARM Cooperative, an initiative developed by ICF in partnership with Peace Microfinance Bank.

The TARM Cooperative, an extension of the TARM program, aims to empower female teachers by providing them with opportunities for financial security and empowerment in their retirement years.

The primary objective of the cooperative is to facilitate secure retirement planning for teachers through the provision of annuity investments at an annual rate.

In addition to this core offering, members of the cooperative stand to benefit from a range of supplementary services. These include access to soft loans for business start-ups or expansion, expedited access to civil servant loans, and convenient installment payment options for various commodities and appliances.

The signing of the MOU represents not only a significant achievement for ICF but also a promising start to the year ahead.

This collaboration underscores our commitment to fostering financial inclusion and empowerment, particularly among female educators, and sets the stage for impactful initiatives that resonate with our mission and values.
